Andhra Pradesh is called the “Rice Bowl of India” and is one of the 4th largest states of the nation. Hyderabad is the capital and Telugu is the local language spoken. It flaunts its spicy cuisine. Kuchipudi is the classical dance that was introduced in the state. Andhra Pradesh spilt into 4 regions mainly Telangana, Rayalaseema, Southern Coast and Northern Coast. It is one of the 4th largest southern states of India that has a 972 km long coastline that joins the Bay of Bengal. The state is covered by Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa and Chhattisgarh.

It is state that has nested itself on the Northern parts of India. It shares its borders with Nepal to the north. The state is surrounded by Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttarkhand and Haryana. The Ganga and Yamuna flow through the state and meet each other in the middle.

Most of the major destinations tourists love visiting or stepping foot into the Tirumula Hills at Tirupathi, Puttaparthi, SirSathya sai Baba’s birthplace, Yadagirigutta, a sacred place where Lord Vishnu transformed into Narasimha and Bhadrachalam. Srisailam is one busiest Hindu Pilgrim destinations in Andhra. Amaravati,Ghantasal, NagarjunaKonda and Kolanpaka are some of the most popular Buddhist centres. Some of the other attractions consist of Sriharikota, the satellite in India, the horsely hills, the hill resorts, the Belum caves and borra caves, the forts and palaces that include the Golconda Fort, Falaknuma Palace, Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and the Chandragiri Fort. Vishakhapatnam has some of the most majestic golden beaches along with the arresting Araku valley, the Yarada Beach, the RamojiRao Film City, and the Lumbini Gardens.

How to Reach

Air: The Rajiv Gandhi International airport in Hyderabad is one of the busiest airports in the state that plies to all the national and international destinations. Tirupathi, Rajamundhry, Vishakapatnam and Vijayawada have airports as well.

Rail: There are continuous trains that keep the state well connected with the other cities in the country. Some of the busiest airports are seen in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and Kakinada.

Sea: The state also has a few major ports in Vishakhapatnam and Kakinada and a few small ports in Machilipatam, Krishnapatnam and Nizampatnam.

Road: Andhra is one of the most well connected roadways in the country. The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation has approximately 21,000 buses that travel in and around the state.
